2009 Sony Profoto Professional Photographic Awards – Over 6000 images were submitted for the 2009 PROFOTO Awards by Sony, Southern Africa’s premier showcase of professional and amateur photography. The images were judged over a two-week period by a panel of local and international judges to determine the winners of the various categories. I was very happy to win a Silver and Bronze in the Automotive category.
2010 February PHOTOGRAPHY MONTHLY UK magazine – Pro Zone feature – “Professional photographer Dylan Laubscher has worked all over shooting private collections of super sports cars and vintage automobiles. His understanding of the personalities of the cars he captures, and how to harness light in dark locations, means his clients repeatedly ask for his turbo-charged images to be turned into hand-bound coffee table books. Here, he reveals the tips and techniques you will need to take these shots for yourself.”

“one small seed is the ultimate reference to South African pop culture. It is a stylish publication aimed at urban men and women from 23–39 years old; it is however largely designed to appeal to a certain mindset, rather than a specific demographic. This intention already sets it apart from the multitude of magazines on the shelf today.
Responding to a gap in the market for a title that is fresh, unique and enduring, one small seed has created a publication that captivates its readers; something that can be kept and paged through time and again, a well-rounded publication that can be appreciated for its exceptional design and substantial content simultaneously. The magazine ventures beyond the average to bring forth new features that are completely dynamic and refreshing, providing a South African publication which is ultimately unique and unsurpassed.
Our content is shamelessly skewed towards South Africa, providing an illuminating insight into its popular culture and bearing witness to the enormous amount of talent the country has to offer. The editorial mix covers a broad range of topics, from fashion, design, art and architecture to music, film, lifestyle and photography.”
2008 Hasselblad masters semi finalist – The most prestigious Photographic awards in the universe … maybe only Earth , very honored to receive a semi finalist in an international awards competition.
